Look what "rare finds" one can procure at any Salvation Army store!! Where are the photoshop experts on this one?

Having experienced both of these bands first-hand, I vote Boston. More than a feeling, Peace, 'ners..... Boston S/T over any single Journey album. Foreplay/Long Time kills it on classic rock radio. But, yes, Steve Perry has the golden voice.

Only ones that I own are Uptown-Dope on Plastic Love that record, damn.... that one's hard to find in any form out here.

If you take this whole Trapped in the Closet thing seriously, it's pretty bad musically, visually, and conceptually. Taken from the perspective of the detached, ironic trainwreck-watcher, it's still pretty annoying. Just my opinion.

how 'bout shitty record spots in nyc? the spot in bklyn at the 4th ave/9th st stop is awful! $25 for blue magic common lp's is pathetic. That place is pretty abysmal, I've only scored there once...but I pulled Brian Eno's entire 70's catalogue an…

Haven't heard 'Tender Buttons' yet, but I've listened to the previous albums a lot, especially 'HaHa Sound'. HaHa Sound blew me away when it originally came out. Drums on that album sound incredible. Tender Buttons is almost as good. Plus the …

yeah, but more psych than anything. some favorites are Affinity, peanut butter conspiracy, Giant Crab, The Listening etc.... Those bands kind of suck in comparison to the awesomeness of Sabbath...

Astral Weeks was layered. The base rhythm section spent a few hours riffing in a studio and then they left. That's all they knew. So it's no wonder doing blue note sessions face to face with Eric Dolphy, Bobby Hutcherson, Tony Williams etc. have be…

Lester Bangs on Astral Weeks is some of the most passionate music writing I've ever read. Richard Davis's playing on the album is incredible. Incidentally, I was reading an interview with Richard Davis where he was very dismissive about Astral Wee…

He shouldn't sign anyone, they all just get frustrated at his one album every ten years average.

I'm reading this, not because of the Oprah's Book Club endorsement sash, but because I've always wanted to read it and the translation is top notch. I guess I'm going through a heavy book phase because these are last two books I read:
