"Jingling Baby (Remixed and Still Jingling)" And we have a winner!
-
I don't think I quite "get" this record as being a huge deal (but then again such a record wouldn't typically be my thing) but its cool and sounds like it's quite rare. Now I know who to call if I find one
-
Gonna roll out in a few and find somewhere here in Rio where they're showing this. IT'S FINALLY HAPPENING! Truly a beautiful day, I feel proud to be an American out here in South America now.

Speaking of rare 45s... http://cgi.ebay.com/70s-Soul-45-New-Worl...%3A1|240%3A1318 The Polydor 45 catalog is deep.
-
I'm pretty sure I know who is going to win this. Or at least try to.
-
If I were back home I'd offer up my place to host. Make this shit happen though and I'll be there for the next one!

Nice Oliver, I almost scooped that Meditation Blue off the wall before I left...really cool record...and the Pure Essence is fire. Went out twice this weekend to explore my local records stores here in Ipanema/Copacabana...walked out with some nice…

Microwave no question.
-
To this day, I have never seen an original copy of this record. Anyone on here have one? So is the B&W cover an actual second press or a more recent reissue? I never understood this...
-
BOO BOO MCAFEE Apparently only 200 copies pressed...distributed at truck stops...sick cover too.
-
I can't remember if the 45 is mono or stereo....but yeah just set the Microwave playback mode to mono and you should be alright.

This dude is this William Hung of filmmaking.

Okay, you know what I would buy? A box set that had everything. The whole damn catalog. None of this splitting it up into a zillion box sets and different singles things, unreleased comps, whatever. I want all the singles, all the albums, all the 12…

Yeah, I noticed that but thanks. After the real deal though.

I am writing my senior thesis hoping it passes by a teacher who has it out for me. I think I'm over academia forever. No grad school for me.b, 21b, 21And I am MAD nervous about moving to Brasil for 6 months, even though I know it will work out.b, 21…

If you're talking about multi-channel the Grace m801 is the truth, especially with the remote. Even handles ribbons just fine w/minimal noise. Not a "colored" sound though, just very clean.b, 21b, 21 img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/emil.gif" a…

I remember seeing one that was incomplete before but now I can't find it. It's out there somewhere though.
-
You can't just take any song and run the test. If you are using a track from a recent rap album that is compressed and volume maximized to hell you probably will not be able to tell. If you're listening to some lo-fi 45 you probably won't be able to…
-
Yeah Rerog is good people, it was kind of ridiculous to start that thread in the first place.
-
There is a 45 of "Little Bongo Boy" too.

Damn! I was just thinking about this. Thanks Herm!

/font1font class="small"1Quote:/font1h, 21b, 21The Gilberto Gil S/T LP from 1968 is with them as the back-up band. And IMO thats a better tropicalia LP and a just plain better LP than any of the first three Mutantes LPs. b, 21b, 21h, 21font class="…

I appreciate their style and I don't think they're bad but they don't do anything special for me.
