They made it all the way to production without running into anyone that had ever left a record in a car on a hot day?
-
Yeah whenever I try to look up how to do something I get a bunch of videos featuring rich kids that start out “hey guys blah blah blah hit the like button and subscribe, check out my new merch” and then 15 min in they show how to do the thing that I…

Hey what do you know I figured out my password! I stopped posting here when I had login issues after a site update. I’m glad the waxi glitch sent me back here to try again. Props to both sites but I am more of a tommy digs-a-lot funk sample 90’s …

Pretty sure direct to disk isn't live recorded. I think it means that they skip the laquer or the stamper or something. I think there is a post on here that explains it, I think it turned out to sound worse than a good traditional pressing.

Proppers!

Still too lazy/broke to get proper equipment to rip these myself. Anyone know where to get cd quality accapellas of "blow the whistle" and "tell me when to go"?

Selma Hayek? Donald trump Donald trump Donald trump. Maybe we'll get an answer from the source.

Nice! Looking forward to it! Don't click this if it'll mess with yer creative process or whatever but here's a really dope mix, same idea: https://m.soundcloud.com/lildave-personify/gotcha-covered

Not so old and nostalgic but this is people with kids related so it might be appreciated around here nowadays: backyardagins - yeti episode - episode musical theme: James brown style funk schetchy bootleg link but no popups on my phone or anything…

That Roland jenkeez dude... So dope. Is his persona foreal? I watched a bunch of his videos at one point and couldn't decide. He kills it though.
-
Ps no Selma hyak please! : ) (I don't wanna face the wrath!)
-
This dude JB insists he's a real lyricist or whatever but I have heard a bunch of his music and I can't think of one concept or lyric that stayed with me. Confidently dissing is not automatically lyrical depth.
-
Insisting on an answer to "What do you want from hip hop?"... Calling dude a lier for saying he's happy... I never heard a lil yachty song and imona guess I wouldn't like em much but this dude Joe buddon is bad comedy.
-
Wow Joe Budden sucks.
-
Plus my "little-guy-who-loves-to-play-sampled-songs" lane has me bringing the odd hall n oats or Micheal McDonald 45 anyways so I've got something for them.
-
It's all gravy, the dude last wedding was loving (liking?) the stuff I was playing so it was no biggie. I don't have to worry about requests much, my clients like me to just bring records that I/they wanna hear so I leave the true cheese at home. I…

So... Howsa super famous local small town bar DJ get on the Get On Down promo list? p.s. Off the wall is the correct answer
-
^^^ nice, thanks funky drums at the beginning are what's up. And the heads would know the cornel show. I can surely use this song to mix from funk into the dead. Dunno if I could get back to the funk from it though. Once you drop a dead song arou…

Sounds like scratching but i don't think early scratches sounded that clean. I think it's percussion. Maybe a filter/compressor/gate or something.
-
Nice, thanks. I followed the Dead back in the day (94 spring tour+) but I was more likely to be looking for skate spots then studying set lists. ...so I know enough about their music to know that I can't scratch the surface of a true head's knowled…
