Lupe Fiasco "Kick Push" because my kids like it.
Downtown Science "Room To Breathe" because it's about the only hip hop record I ever consciously went out to score.
Duder and Junior to school me again on definitions of rap and hip hop, and ulysses31 to wrap it up amid talk of tribes, ways of life and that.

Ok, here's a quick list (first to come into my head):

Beatnuts: No Equal
ATCQ: Check The Rhyme
PE: Rebel Without A Pause
Gangstarr: DWYCK

Really struggled thinking of anything recent that qualifies for 'all time best beat' status. Probably cos I was a teen/early 20's when those all dropped, and lets face it, everything that comes after that time of your life is going to pale in comparison.
The song itself was never my joint. But the bonus bass instrumental, or whatever it's called on the 12", is a classic used in a million NOLA bounce songs.
