Ridiculous claim on the back of the candy corn package here at work

"Amercians eat enough BRANCHs Candy Corn that if you laid them end to end it would circle the world 4.25 times".


I'm not buying that. We're a fat lot but those numbers seems ridiculous.

    Specifically "BRANCHS" brand too.
    It'd be one thing if we're just talking Candy Corn in general...

    I work with engineers so eventually someone was going to figure this out:


    that is more than 13 billion candy corns.

    or 44 candy corns per person in the US.

    no way the average person east 44 candy corns a year.

    i thought this was going to be choking related.
    a friend of mine a few months ago was choking on a single skittle. another one of my friends had to jump in and give him the heimlich to save him .

    2 weeks later he cut his hand with a chainsaw.

    Depending on how you read the quote, they might be referring to laying Americans end to end... not the candy corn.
