iirc this video came out a while after it was a white label street banger. it was remixed a little bit too iirc.

yeah, the song was a radio hit way before the label got behind it. it was timely compared to fat gold chain being on a album like six years after it came out.

Even farther back in time, but I was way into his 1st solo album, No Pressure. A lot of people acted like it was a dud, but I was jamming that tape constantly happily.

I think we may be the only two people to admit to this. I even liked some of the Keef Murray verses on there:

"It's 96 degrees in the shade/Before I catch blood on my blade."

Yeah I'm not mad at it at all.

As for the original question, the productions of his featured on the last couple of Raekwon albums have been decent. Not facemelting, but decent.

There are certain words/phrases that automatically trigger random lyrics with me. Every time his name is mentioned my mind immediately thinks "Keef Murray, comin' from the norf side even left."

Also, this line remains one of the illest closing lines ever to be spitten, yo:

Damage to ya medulla, cerebrum and cerebellum /
You got a crew you better tell 'em.

I never even knew people thought No Pressure was a dud. I was way into that album.
I also really liked his Insomia* compilation album.

i admit that i have sort of ignored the e-double in his later career. the last track sthat i was fully on board with were Bomdigi from the second solo album and his Feenin' remix:

    No Pressure was mediocre.

  • Hostile is one of the best verses ever and top three debuts (redebut) ever. I don't think that's the type of thing you say a few of us like. That's one of my all time favorites songs.

I like that new E Sermon video in the opening post. He's been making the hip hop equivelant of smooth jazz for about decade.

the vocals on this sound like they were recorded by plugging earbud headphones into the mic jack of a laptop.

I ride for Erick Sermon's Double Or Nothing LP. Literally- listen to it in your car, it's awesome.
