    Mandrill - Mandrill - first track on the their first album Mandrill (like Black Sabbath and Kool and the Gang, all first tracks on first albums).

    Several years ago I posted a more narrow question about s/t albums with s/t tracks (can't remember if I wanted them to be first tracks, first albums too). There was at least one more like that but I can't remember.

    Fo some reason, i assumed there would be more Prog & Fusion on this list.
    Seems very "conceptual" to write a song about the name of your band...or name your band after one of your songs....whichever is more heady.
