The logos make me want to own more of the LPs but what's really cooking on these labels? I haven't heard anything on Uni that I really felt but I must be missing something (?)

Bill Cosby Talks to Kids About Drugs
Follow the Leader - Eric B. & Rakim
I wanna know why masekela's "drumbago" ( I'm messing up the spelling probably) 45 is so hard to find...Motown put it in their complete singles boxset (I guess Motown owned chisa In the early 70s) so I am assuming there is a 45....that tune is brutal, need it on 45 bad.
What's his stuff on Uni like? I've only heard a few things so far and from what I gather it's pretty pop-vocally , not my kind of thing, which is a shame cos there 's some mean artwork. Anyone got any divshare files?

What exactly have you heard? I can't think of any of hid Uni stuff that's not predominantly instrumental.
yeah, that is his all time masterpiece but in a similar vein and also worthy of checking is "I am not afraid" lp which has a stellar electric version of "night in tunisia" (w/ joe sample on rhodes). i also ride for his casablanca records but that's another thread...
Comments

B/w
Pick up Bill Cosby's "Hikky Burr" 45 on Uni
The obvious Grazing in the grass and some vocal tracks off the self titled "Masekela" LP. Cant find samples of the "Latest" Lp or this one for example
I might be wrong, but I thought Masekela's version of GITG was instrumental. The hit vocal version was Friends Of Distinction.
Africa 68 is a various artists, not Masekela. Right?
Anyway, Home Is Where The... Is the Masekela you want.
