Blanquette de Limoux is considered to be the first sparkling white wine produced in France, created long before the Champagne region became world renowned.

I am no expert on wines, but have had a few of the leading champagne house names over the years.
My favourate so far is 'Taittinger Comtes De Champ' Blanc, or Rose. Worth spending the money for extra special occasions.
It has a sweeter taste compared to Dom Perignon, which I've drank from bottles produced in years 82, 86 & 88 and find more acidic!
Still would like to try Bollinger in the future, one of the great makers according to many wine reviewers.

Ok, the Champagne was great. we had 4 course Dinner with the Champagnes.
Blanc de Blanc, Gold, Rose and Demi Sec. All good stuff, I would go for the Gold.
but that whole Ace of Spades thing is annoying and its overpriced.
stick with making good Champagne, Mr Cattier, then we good.
