i was pretty stoked to pick up Warp 9 - Skips a Beat (http://www.discogs.com/viewimages?release=430652) recently...yeah worst buy ever thankfully it was a dollar bin find, was hoping for some "light years away" type ish...but no such luck...ah well!
A side is not so good but definitely okay for a Nyabinghi thing.... not the best thing for a dance floor but maybe good for hippy chicks doing the hippy dance in the park or something...
The real treat is on the flip, beautiful Jamaican Rock-n-roll cooker here as played by Monty Alexander....
well, picked this up yesterday, cool cover, but other than that, such a let down!
Yep, Berry Lipman stinks on most of his recordings. I remember there were some good tracks on libraries but the one I have on Selected Sound is terrible as well. I had "Music for Drivers 2" with an equally nice cover and tepid easy da-ba-daba sounds. Sold pretty well on ebay to my surprise. If you have an original red label pressing try to sell.

ok yeah its the red the older design label but i dont think that auction represents its value though, not too familiar with his output, only other record i have with this dude is a schlager album which packs a pretty ill version of pyhith, i mean the drums of course, can post it up if anyones interested..
