Here's a few great cheapies to get the thread started in the right direction. They don't have to be spooky sounding per se, but it certainly doesn't hurt.
Great thread topic. Going to be a little harder to fill than 'songs with Rive in the title' i would imagine. (file under genres I wish I new more about)

Don't know if this is really spooky in any way, but I do find it somewhat other-worldly. (file under Dead Musician / Biggest Future)
A great spooky sounding track is Baby Lloyd- 'Something on your mind' (King). Can't find any audio for it online though... :(
That Little Jimmy Ray track is great, hadn't heard that one before. Baby Lloyd is solid too, kind of in the same camp as that Bobby Byrd I posted. Keep 'em coming folks.
Otis Rush "My Love Will Never Die"
oh man.... such a face melter
Curtis Knight "Voodoo Woman"
Also its not on youtube but the unrelased version of Floyd Dixon's "please don't go" is so killer. Its on a Chess CD-box set from a few years back. A little intrepid googleing should lead you to it.
I love these.
Not sure if it would be classed as spooky but I'll always try and shoehorn this song by Montgomery Express into any context... Without doubt one of my favourite tracks ever:
Montgomery Express and 24 Karat Black are awesome of course but what I really want to learn about is late 50s-mid 60s. Here's a couple more. Keep them coming, I've already added a couple things to my wants list based on some of your suggestions.
tracklist:
Ray Agee - Tin Pan Alley (Shirley)
Little Willie John - My Love-Is (King)
Lorez Alexandria - Baltimore Oriole (Argo)
Ronnie Love - Chills & Fever (Dot)
Electro-Tones - Ghost Train (J-B)
Van Robinson - I Wanna Know (Top Flight)
The Robins - Truble (Push)
Sonny Patterson - Troubles (Vault)
Delilah - A Worried Feelin (Shirley)
Preston Love - Cream Dream (United)
Tarheel Slim & Little Ann - Much Too Late (Fire)
Bobby Byrd - I'm Just A Nobody (Smash)

I have no idea why I sold off my copy of that Reuben Bell. Dumb moves-related.

I'm always amazed at the R&B and accidental R&B from Warner Bros. from this era, so many cool pop vocal and teener sides...
