all those that spivy recommended are excellent. put on mystery movie and prepare to be floored! i love the tension they create with the open sound of the rhodes on there. congrats man, this is probably the best library haul mentioned on here since Eric's dumpster discovery. (although maybe not quite as many records, but hey, 100euro for all those is about as good as it gets if you're into libs)

mystery movie is currently spinning on the platter, I'm truly floored.
There are still around 100 golden Selected Sounds waiting to be heard...

"city calling" (rolf kuehn side) is pretty cool. kind of a low budget conroy feelings sort of vibe. blue butterfly has soft wind which is insane (dusty fingers related). again congrats.

I wonder what I'm sitting on money wise. The Themes and the golden Selected Sounds must be more than a grand. Not to mention all this 70s KPMs and the Sonotons, Patchwork, Intersounds and regular Selected Sounds..
are the sport sequences libs (1 and 2) in the batch of sonotons?
was patchwork # 5 in there with roger davy? you should give that one a day in court if you haven't heard it.
:face_melt: Damn, that's a monster haul! Congrats man!

No, unfortunatly not. But I like the patchwork 2 a lot.
The Disco and the Reggae green KPM is blowing my mind at the moment...
Is there anything worth checking out of that 80s KPMs?
not too familiar with the ones after they ditched the plain brown or green covers. i think they get pretty weak after those. i have a grip of them that i still haven't been through yet either! and a box of later chappells.

I found another Klaus Weiss (Niagara) record on Sonoton in the batch. It's called "Trailers Spots Signatures".
Sounds very good to me and seems to be fairly unknown.
wtf is this? A record just full with open hard funk drum breaks?
not really drum breaks, more like drum patterns and so on, but it has one or 2 interesting moments on it

I just threw together a mix of my library finds. Maybe "Mix" is a bit exagerated more kind of a compilation.
The mixing is not up to my standards but I didn*t wanted to back cue so much with them.
Nontheless it should be quite a good listen.
It was quite hard to pick out just a few from all the good ones for a mix.
The Mix contains Soul, Dunk, Disco & Jazz from Selected Sound, Sonoton, Themes International, Parry Music, Colorsound, Patchworks, KPM

My cousin told me that there is a collection of 80s libraries to be sold. When I started this thread I hadn`t seen it yet.
What a great story... how in the beginning, everybody's sceptical, you score for cheap and then slowly realize what you really got. Awesome!
Massive, positive surprises like these are rarer than the records themselves.
Thanks. I guess things like this happen once in a lifetime...
Well, you never know...
Like my grandmother used to say:
"Das Gl??ck ist ein Rindvieh und sucht seinesgleichen!" ;-)
Na dann... :cheese:
