I know. I'm trying to convince myself that if we had beaten Newcastle, then Man U probably would've felt more pressure in the Wolves game and might not have lost. So we got a point, Man U got nada.
Beer-fueled bias aside, a great weekend for the Prem really. Man U are within reach and proven to be fallible, Wolves, at the bottom of the table, might dare to dream that there's an escape, Torres got what he deserved, Arsenal provide goals, attack, and then a spectacular melt-down that puts as many question marks beside their title-credentials as points-for...
edit: just tried sending you a PM Paul, and I got a msg that "one or more screen names are invalid". Maybe send me one that I can reply to?
Errm, Paul, you might need to refer this to Raj. I've tried replying to your PM, and again I'm getting the message in red "One or more of the screen names provided is invalid".
Yeah, your PM to me arrived fine, but my reply wouldn't go. Have you blocked me or something?
In other news, Wenger has learned a few tricks from Ferg:
Cesc F??bregas has withdrawn from Spain's squad for their friendly against Colombia on Wednesday.
The Arsenal captain informed the Spanish Football Federation that he is suffering from an upset stomach and will remain in London rather than linking up with the squad.
The world and European champions will not call up a replacement player for the clash at Real Madrid's Bernab??u stadium.
It comes after F??bregas's Arsenal team-mate Robin van Persie pulled out of the Holland squad to play Austria because of flu.
This reminds me of Giggs getting some gyp in the press after he pulled out of a Welsh friendly with thigh strain, and a journo noted that Giggs hadn't played in a Welsh friendly for 4 years or so due to out-of-the-blue niggles that healed up in time for the next Prem league game.
Also, Gerrard looked fine against Chelsea.
But for Arsenal, I think it was this time last year, in a friendly, that Van Percy got crocked for months. In fact if it's not the African Cup, it's an injury to one of our best players that usually does us around now, so I fully support what I susect to be a load of balls from Wenger here.
But I will get butthurt if people say nasty things about Mike Skinner.
So M-Okem, you heard this new Streets then? I saw reviews suggesting that it was a return to form for the lad but I fail to see what he's got left to bring to the table since it seemed he kind of burnt himself out with A Grand.......
B/w
Personal feelings about Skinner???s music aside, this:
"I bowl down the street listening to Chas and Dave lyrics laid on Garage Band loops"
Is a fantastic one line dismissal of a career.
I don't really ride for anything after 'Original Pirate Material' tbh. But IMO as far as British albums with rapping on them go, it stands head and shoulders above most of them.
I understand the criticism he comes in for, some of it is unjustified, some of it I agree with. The whole "He comes froom Brum but tawks like e's frum Laandon" thing is just little England nonsense, spouted by those who find it hard to see authenticity in artists who producing anything other than ProgRock, unless they are Northern urchins, or something but "45th generation Roman".
[I then went on to write some nonsense about trying not to use terms like "voice of a generation" or "captured the zeitgeist", whilst cleverly saying just that. But I have a cold and it seems to be making my dyslexia work overtime, so it made little sense, as it jumped from tense to tense and back again. So I'll spare you the headache.]
To summarise.
OPM YAY! The Streets Ok, Garage Band meh, Chas and Dave BOO! Zeitgeist, Tense, headache, chesty cough, Benylin, Night Nurse, Gregory Isaacs, UB40, Birmingham, British, nonsense.
Really hoped that Aurelio shot would have gone in, just to embarass Chelsea all the more.
Got up early at the cabin here in Tahoe only to find the cable tv not working. Hungover as schitt, I realized my car was blocked in the driveway 2 deep. Hoofed it 40 minutes up to the casinos and watched the game with some haggard old dudes drinking pi??a coladas at 8 am.

Next you'll be claiming that you've been a Liverpool fan longer than pcmr has been Chelski ;-)
I having been pushing for 'Pool ever since Istanbul 2005, one of the greatest come-back victories in the history of CL football.

Was just poking fun. The whole I'm a(insert team name here)fan more than you thing is older than hip-hop realness, and I thought it was funny that when challenged about his allegiance, pcmr said he'd been a Chelsea fan since this thread was started. Which is a long time ago.
I only started to support Arsenal because they beat Liverpool to the league title way back when Liverpool won everything with boring regularity. I don't live in London, haven't been to the Emirates, so fair play for forcing yourself to watch Liverpool so you could get some pi??a coladas.

I'm quite partial.

Apparently when S.A.F. shook hands with Mick Mc at the end of the game, his parting shot was "You lucky b*astards."
I guess this mentality has yielded him good results down the line but, unlike the The Greatest Dancer, this is not arrogance without conceit...
:thumbs-up-will-download-at-home-where-file-shares-aren't-blocked smiley here:
Anybody else here able to PM Paul?
Is this some anti-UTD bias at long last?
I did wonder why I wasn't getting any abuse lately.

He's blocked Arsenal fans. Talk about sore.
YES!
shall I just slap the link here long enough for you to save it somewhere Paul, or are you not even fussed?
