This is yet another example of the sheer volatility in the market for records in general. Once a record pushes over the $1000 mark, it is quite difficult for a title to hold its value. The difference (as seen here) can be upwards of $2,000+. Kind of nuts, really.

Could be, but ebay charges a fortune to have a reserve that high on your listing, so that would be an expensive way to test the waters.
