His auctions are a freak show for irrationality. I can see why people lose their heads from time to time for the really rare shit but the low level stuff is beyond me 258$ for Blue Mitchell Heads Up 258$?Billy Butler Guitar Soul 103$?Lonnie Smith Think 124$? He puts on such an "event" that it creates it's own micro market-bubble of insanity. Very entertaining.
he's been at it for so long i wonder if by now any of his longtime black tulip customers have reached out to him:
"Bob, it's time I get out of collecting, I'd like you to buy back all the rare records I've bought from you over the years, I'm sure you will pay out an astonishing amount of money."
I tied up most of my weekend just watching his auctions in total amazement. Why are people giving him so much for some everyday shit? He had a few gems in there but some of that shit was just crazy common. My hat goes off to this dude, a true hustler.
I'd love for someone to holler at some of his buyers via email to find out why they spend so much with him. Def not trying to salt game, but it'd be interesting to actually hear from the folks that spend $400+ on sealed late 70s Bruce Springsteen vinyl.

And I'm sure he'll receive a few for sealed records that he said were first pressings and turned out to be seconds or thirds.
Thats BOB for you. bobdjukic success
That's nothing he just sold a dollar bin clogger for 400+. He's consigning my collection and I am retiring to the Caribbean.
