multiple layers works for me
these last few days have been insane, an icy mist hangs over the city:
This kids are loving it
Rough innit...i've been walking to work all this week and last cos of the weather, and i think my thumbs are gonna just fall off sometime soon.
Which was worse, the fact you were in a snowstorm, or the fact you were in Leiden?
you to busy with the kids?

10AM This morning.
Warmed up a bit now... Sorry about the wobble (wrong hand, wobbly suspension on the truck but you can glimpse my ushanka... :oh_my: )
Loving these photos Alan. 5*s
What is going on in bottom one?
Crossing the big red bridge, looking down on the harbour. they are wooden poles where boats 'park-up' while waiting for their turn to pass under. the combined wind, snow and ice froze them in time.
I do realise there is a much more fitting nautical term for 'wooden poles boats park up on' but im a landlubber.
Not sure what the wooden things are called tho, bollards or poles??. Great photos either way.

then again, who cares.
i just cycled to pick the oldest up from school and dinked my leg in an attempt to stay upright whilst gliding across the black ice. About as gracefull as a walrus in tapshoes, but at least i stayed upright.
fucking great bruise on my leg though.

nuthin bad at all...
good thing we know how to deal with it.
we haven't caught our december snowshit yet, but that doesn't mean it's not coming. hopefully our new mayor won't embarass us by calling in the military again when things get hairy.
