Hopefully the strut massive can help me out here. A ladyfriend is a big music lover, mostly on the dance-electronica tip. Im a strictly vinyl guy but shes all mp3 and a mac user. she wants to start dropping mixes using only mp3's and her mac. I want to get her the software she needs - what is the best software/program for her to start using according to you?

Mixmeister is simple to use, they also do an iPad version now as well. The Mac software is easily available via torrent.

I second Traktor, very easy to use as well. Easily understandable UI.

Mixxx is free open-source DJ software for Mac. I don't know how it compares with the other programs mentioned, but it's pretty intuitive. I used it (along with records) at a fashion show I DJ'd and it did the trick.
