anyone DJ'd a CRUISE before??

I've never even been on a cruise before, but I'm going for a month starting at the beginning of December from Pt. Canaveral and travelling the east & west Caribbean.
[any strutters near/from: Port Canaveral, Florida; Labadee, Haiti; Ocho Rios, Jamaica; George Town, Grand Cayman; Cozumel, Mexico; Cococay, Bahamas; Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas; Philipsburg, St. Maarten; PM me and maybe we can link up]

I've got most of the generic mall/wedding tunes covered, reggaeton, latest top 40/club tunes, and such. Are there any songs or genres I may be overlooking?

Any other cruise tips/suggestions? things to do, not do, see, wear, bring...etc

I'll also be there during the holidays, so any holiday music (xmas, hannukah, kwanzaa?) songs that don't suck would be helpful. I know theres been a bunch of old threads on here, but many lean towards funk/soul and I just need more general party stuff.

    i know a few ppl who've done it. i talked to one of them and he said it wasn't the fun he was expecting.
    he said he was glad he brought lots of porn and books to read and that all the cruise ship staff was filipino.

    Been contemplating throwing my card in that hat but have nightmares of Germans requesting techno I've never heard of. Can you fraternize with the guest? Be sure to post an update, hope things are smooth sailing pun intended. I live close to Cape Canaveral, If you have down time there be sure to hit the space center and see what nasas up to.

    you can download a torrent of the top 100 billboard hits for each year between 1955 and 2009. DL it and put it on an external drive.

    my fiancee and I went on a cruise through Carnival this past summer...
    Ocho Rios and Cayman. we had a good time...although, the dj on the ship was horrendous.
    so much so she was asking me why the hell I hadn't put in an application yet.
    the on-ship bboy duo (no joke) was decent though.

    what type of money are they offering, out of curiosity? you can message me if you'd like...don't want to be impolite.
