shit, the more i know the more i know i dont know. this thread is 2 pages long already and i am only familiar with about 5-6 of the items listed, and i own exactly two (sorry not trading off either - just got both within last few months).
i guess my current whitest whale list is as follows...
Complex - 1st LP (or the reish would do fine!)
TS Bonniwell - Close
Sonics (both 'here are' and 'boom')
bonus uber-grail pipedream for the hell of it would be: Mystery Meat.
understood. i have never seen "Garden" in the real world. i don't think i even know anyone who owns a copy.
I do. 39 cents well spent I have all three, but that is my favorite.
my current three: (any help is much appreciated)
-Walter Washington -Goody Man/Mary Jane on Power
-Sonny Jones _Lighten Up pt 1&2 on Scram (does this even exist?)
-Califonia Malibus 45
The Sonny Jones exists, I have it (not for 39c though), and have seen another copy
in a local collectros box.
I've been looking for the WalterWashington on Power for 15 years, in Louisiana, never seen it.
Top 3-
HotFunky&Sweaty; on HOF
Eddie Bo 1st LP
Southern University Band LP
and whoever said california malibu's i'll take one of those as well, saw 3 of those on ebay around the same time earlier in the year, wish i would've snatched one up
Sass "Much Too Much"
Cloud One "Don't Let This Rainbow Pass Me By"
Risco Connection "I'm Caught Up"
Gladys Knight "It's A Better Than Good Time (Walter Gibbons mix)"
Gladys Knight "It's A Better Than Good Time (Walter Gibbons mix)"
Do you mean the acetate? Because it wasn't really released on 12", right?
There's actually a Canadian press of it, oddly not even a promo... Although far from common, it's actually not close to being one of the rarest major-label disco 12s up here (given its hefty price tag)...
i've seen a few on ebay over the years but they're always thrashed, really love sweet soul and must own nothing comes to a sleeper but a dream, one of these days...
Quarteto Novo (OG, I have the 70s reissue)
Joao Donato- Quem ?? Quem
Bit A Sweet- Hypnotic
maybe that's only because you can't afford more then $50,but if you a decent amount of extra money after paying bills don't you think you would treat youself? just wondering.
anybody got audio and/or info on this? just to educate a clueless strutter? always amazes me how theres so much in demand stuff that doesnt even register on my dim radar.

If I have money to spare (quite often) then I buy musical instruments/studio equipment or go to brazil. Even if I won the lottery I couldn't drop silly money on a record, it just wouldn't feel right...
Oh ok, maybe a Verocai then... but that's it I promise
