wow.... Mystikal still really has a great flow.
one thing about one of those beats, he completely copped that from this Sara Devine R&B track from the late 90s or early 00's. Somewhere in there. She only had a promo EP distributed through the record pools, but it was pretty nice.
yeah, Mystikal's flow is still killin it. he's actually doing his 2nd concert since being released tomorrow night. 1st was on mardi gras day, and was hastily thrown together and not promoted, but apparently he showed up and did his thing to aplomb anyway. tomorrow night though he's performing w/a live band---i'm really psyched for it.
Nobody knows the first track thumping out of Mannie's ride in this video? Pls haelp.
i thought it was just 1 of Mannie's beats that he was going through. is it definitely a published song?
p.s. in case anyone cares, the Mystikal concert last night was insane. sold out and got packed so early that they decided to do another one tonight! that shit never happens here.
the band playing behind him was killer, and Mystikal was right on point the whole night. did all his classics, and the whole crowd was mouthing the words the whole time. great show.
Mannie Fresh was sitting behind him on the drummer's landing most of the night....

I know the term is still up for debate, but that wasn't a true Freestlye!
Yeah, if you're not frapping fresher it's not a freestyle.

we did a big interview w/him this month in advance of the show, y'all might be interested in checking it out: http://www.offbeat.com/2010/08/01/mystikal-backtalk/
also, if you haven't checked it out yet, this is the 1st recording he's been since being released.

I was like "ehhh" 'til that crazy quirky sound came in on Wayne's verse. Now I wanna hear it on a dope car system or the club.
Yeah, it's a grower.
He does get a bit overhyped, but still, joints like this are pretty fuckin' undeniable:
i know its cliche' as schitt to say, but really Wayne is a fucking good rapper. me hopes he comes out with some really good music in 2011.
oh yeah...Mystikal and too shabby himself...
