Lampard has had the ball over 20 times, and still not made a forward pass. He found himself in 15 yards of space, and went sideways, under no pressure. He's a passenger. And his latest sideways pass went straight to a Slovenian player. Somebody PLEASE BREAK HIS LEGS.
Are the players up for it? Are they happy to track back, get stuck in, and do more than just wait for a killer through ball. Today it looks like most of the foward players are up for it.
How often are we reduced to long-ball? We didn't hoof it so much against USA, but against Algeria David James probably got cramp from constantly hoofing downfield to Heskey.
Are our midfielders creating dangerous chances? I don't expect a hell of a lot from Barry, but as I've already said, out of Gerrard, Lamps & Barry, he's the best with the ball at his feet. Which would be like Gattuso being the best ball player for Italy.
45 minutes, and Lampard has done nothing. He's had lots of the ball, and not managed to commit defenders with dangerous passing or movement. It would be like having a basketball point guard who can't dribble, doesn't pass the ball more than handing it off a couple of feet, doesn't mark anybody, and only wants to shoot.
Why Joe Cole doesn't start ahead of him is a mystery, but I suppose he's been injured most of the season.
Lampard is symptomatic of the hype over content that plagues the English national football team. He may have a great shot, but can he play football?
Watching the highlights of USA vs Algeria, we need to make this result comfortable. USA will score I think.

Ray Wilkins the undisputed king of sideways-only passing. Lampard actually does well in the prem... he has so much to learn.

Gets up, and another sideways pass.
He can't shoot...
and John Terry just proved he's a better midfielder.
B/W haha Lampard you dick.
Also, Bill Clinton is in the crowd, sat next to Sepp Blatter and looking very bored.
As for Engand, what are odds of 2 - 1 to Slovenia?
racialism!
Ouch.
Hahahaha
I was just about to post that.
Duder's ultimate fantasy: a threesome with Fat Frank and Maggie T

Fixed.
Nice.
Well, Lampard hasn't touched the ball since his first forward pass of the match, at 48 mins.
Who's Cole coming on for?
Terry (the cunt) trying to head the ball away was pure comedy, i predict a meme on the horizon
