......now I just need to get my hands on vol.2
Actually got this on monday,it's been on the turntable since then.
Supposedly all OG's are badly warped.
Skipping the best part of the story -- because they were shrinkwrapped on some sort of meatpacking machine!
Hey, I just got that one yesterday, too!!
Question: does your copy actually have Whatnauts: "Message from a Blackman" on it?? Mine has it listed on both sides of the jacket, but when I played it, the label has "Please Make the Love Go Away" listed, and that's what is on it! I know "Message..." isn't a hard track to get, but I have bought 2 clean-looking 45's of it, and both played like shit, so having a clean copy was one of the reasons I dropped coin on the NJ's Greatest LP, only to be burned again! Still, those Willie & the Mighty Magnificents tracks are nice to have, and getting "Give a Damn" by The Internationals on it is a serious score!
Also yesterday:
Chester Thompson - Powerhouse - Black Jazz
Ferris Wheel - S/T - UNI
Had high hopes for the Ferris Wheel, but it turned out to be pretty
Doug Carn- spirit of the new land
Thanks Twoply!
FUCK. Most of those I still want especially the Veloso. Nice find.
The Fabulous Counts- Jan Jan/Girl From Kenya
Hank Ballard- How You Gonna Get Respect (If You Haven't Cut That Process Yet)
Carolyn Franklin- Reality
Stone - Time 12"? That's a dope track if that's it.

Mine doesn't have it either, even though it is listed on both sides. Don't you love it when that happends. The other stuff on it definately make it still worth it though.
A lot of those were from our shop, no?
Sorry to have missed you! Glad you got some great stuff.
