Picked up a nice clean Ain't No Stoppin' Us Now 12" out ofan old disco collection from that era...But I can't really tell if it's a first press or the morerecent repress.Anybody got some detailed info to make a determination? Thanks!

  • The repress is obvious from the label: newer paper / pressing method compared to the OG which uses matte paper. Post a pic if you really want to know.... and an awesome track regardless of the pressing!

Thanks this is more than likely a repress, the paper is
a bit shiny and the label has an inner ring/seam that
is much smaller and less janky looking that the
pics I've seen online of of the original.

  • play it, the repress is recorded from the original, you can hear the needle run in and rumble before the track starts

    you know this version too?

The vocal side I don't hear anything weird...
But the b-side has a little noise that sounds like
cue burn right before the track starts.
Also now I'm home giving it the once over and the
labels are exactly shiny but they aren't super dull
matte either. Also the lettering on the Black Rose Music
section of the inner label is a tiny bit pixelated like
    it was scanned...
    The mystery deepens!

og has one of those tell tale indented rings in the label. you can see it in this listing going through the edge of the r in risco. you don't get that in modern pressings.
