I got into him after watch the intro to "Jazz on a Summer's Day" over and over. That film is so badass btw. The Anita O'Day set. That Chico Hamilton set. Monk solo. Duke. oh, and that footage of Dolphy practicing in that dark room. Damn good film. Only thing that bothers me is i'd like to see the full fottage of all the performances and outtakes or performances without all that white people in boats shit.

yeah, that is the most frustrating thing in the movie, and its the first thing! Yeah, great movie...the footage I watch the most is Big Maybelle, good god that woman could belt it out. I am gonna go watchi it right now!
