I've got some stuff up on there right now, hip-hop stuff, it's about to end and it's going for about half of what it went for last month... I just invested a bunch of doe into some more stock too!!!
West Coast Pop Art LPs are hard to find in anything except wrecked/not so good condition, similar to early MC5 records. For a nice in shrink OG copy of that, I can understand it going high, although I find that price to be a little extra.

I'm saying, perhaps it went high because you just don't see them in nice shape, similar to not seeing MC5's in nice shape, not that MC5 recs go for real high or anything. The only ones that go for niceness by them are Kick Out The Jams Motherfuckers 1st press of that one, their promo 45s with studio takes of live recorded shit. And they are in the range you stated, $30-$80. Peace T.N.
Sunday is best, Sat or Fri are not good ideas. During the week, I favor Thursday first, Wednesday second. The rest of the weekdays are hit or miss. 1 T.N.

Yeah, Saturdays are a little weird...
Are days better or nights?
I guess a lot of people be peeping auctions @ work???
What is the BEST day of the week to list records up on the bay? Are weekends generally slower??!
peace.
You mean which day of of the week is best to have an auction end, right? The answer is Sunday - any auction ending on Sunday is likely to get more bidding at the end. Of course, if you are, say, in the USA, and listing rare "northern soul" then you want it to end at a time that is not 4 AM in the UK, you know? I personally try to run 5 day auctions that will end on a Sunday afternoon. Auctions I have run that ended on a weekday night seem to always come up short of expectations, while ones that end on the weekend tend to go over what I expected.
Yes, I neglected to say timing wise to keep in mind when people are looking, on the East, Central, Mountain and Pacific times in the US, when the UK and German bidders are awake or in bed, and the Japanese, although time doesn't seem to matter with how they bid at all. Also, the caliber of record+ shipping must be taken into consideration. Dudes aren't gonna bid up low caliber breakbeatraer and have to pay $12 shipping if it's an record. Peace T.N.
I'm gunna list up a big batch of Japanese Jazz/funk/ost shits... Last time a lot of that stuff sold to the east coast and european customers... decisions, decisions...
did anyone ever attend one of those "how to be successful on ebay" seminars?
A good friend has, they do a lot of business related stuff, but not strategy. Kinda sux, I wanted to write a small book about that type of thing, maybe I should. Not saying I'm a mogul, but I've used strategies and seen many strategies that have worked quite well (timing, folktales a la diplo, clean, brief and neat with a soundclip a la phil most, (bring back semiporn pics!) etc). Peace T.N.
