I think it's Mtumes "Juicy Fruit" album. To me it perfectly embodies everything characteristical about this type of musical style in this era.Other suggestions?

after not listening to it for maybe two years.

1983 - one song cant describe all the variations.
There was way too much going on.
Boogie-Funk???
I like to play the Catagory game.
Weve had enuff Boogie/Modern Soul/80's Funk threads up in herr, but to place that one song at the foundation is suspect...IMO.
Is Boogie-Funk more Funk than regular "Boogie"?
Boogie-Funk different than Cameo Funk?
Boogie-Funk encapsulates Micheal Jackson's Thriller?
