Yeah in the UK they were real popular with the National Front Skinheads. There was a lot of violence at their shows which lead to them getting banned from a lot of venues back then. Even though they were against racism, it was kinda weird.
Well, the Sham 69/The Business show was last night. More skinheads with Ben Shermans/Fred Perrys/Suspenders/Rolled Cuff Jeans/Cherry Red Doc Martens than you could shake a stick at. Quite a few mohawk, studded leather jacket types too. The Business were great, Sham 69 were decidedly less great (something odd about seeing a band which doesn't have the original lead singer). Even though both bands had only one original member the fact that with the Business the lead singer was it ended up being pretty telling.
been reading about The Police lately, interesting story...anywho..Andy Summers turns 67(!) this year. Holy shit...pushing 70. Didnt think dude was that old.
Andy Summers was in the last version of the Animals, so he was already a veteran by the time the Police rolled around.
Before that he played with Zoot Money's Big Roll Band...
All those early 45's he had out were really good too, by the time he was doing Elf and Rainbow he was already a veteran, so him joining Black Sabbath was a bit of royalty at play.

Comsidering his musical history, it's not too hard to believe, but RJD1 will turn 67 this year.
