Recommend some sister soul/funk

...in the style of Trinikas, Wendy Rene, Pearl Dowell, etc. I mean, I have a good handle on all the well known classics, but if there's some more obscuro stuff out there to discover (and there always is), I want to know what to be looking for.

    Cool, I'm somewhat familiar with most of those artists. If you had to pick two or three drop dead amazing songs out of that list what would they be?

    12 Red Roses is another good one by Betty Harris. Hey, I just remembered about this song by Friday, Saturday and Sunday that was on the We Eat Trains mix on here a few months ago. Anybody know how hard it is to find a copy of that?

    a couple months ago shingaling and I put together these two volumes of nothing but 60s sister soul...all 60s, so the funk content is a little slim, but these things wail!!! we have been slangin 'em at our gigs...
