I went to UCLA and majored in English, but I turned my back on that, and I will graduate from the Culinary Institute of America at the end of the year. I'll take a kitchen over a cubicle, but I may end up editing cookbooks once the kitchen wears me out.
To be fair, the school I went to wasn't so hot academically, either, but one of the few things I appreciated about it was the complete absence of either school spirit or a sports culture.
Graduated 1992 with a B.A. in International Relations from San Francisco State University Graduated 1994 with a M.A. in International Relations from SF State University Graduated 1995 with 2 teaching credentials in English and Social Sciences from Mills College, Oakland, CA
Word I had a late night spot in 97-98...or maybe it was 96? Word to O-Dub. Damn I'm getting old...
yep, i loved seeing o'dubs comments on the records in the library (which, i might add, had some gems - i found david porter, ernie hines, raer bay area rap, etc).
my relationship with kalx ended on a sad note, however, when they 'invited' me not to return after i got wasted on air, completely neglected the format, and had my friends in to spit some very mediocre freestyles.
...and had my friends in to spit some very mediocre freestyles.
That was like my every week, er I should say every weak ('cept my freestyles, now those were dope). But yeah, the collection was actually really good. You missed (actually so did I) the real heyday when we had one of the best collections in college radio. Many, many, backpacking DJs with sticky fingers later, we had somewhat diminished crates.
i don't live in london, just went to school there. the campus is beautiful, but i have a lot of beef with the engineering faculty - both professors and admin. socially, it's pretty bland, but look hard and you will find your silver lining.
