Quote:/font1h, 21b, 21I was at a random garage sale on Friday. This 60-something old lady was already looking through the stacks. She pulls out a Chantels right in front of me and whispers to me, "This goes for $125 on eBay." Hands the lady a dollar and walks off smiling. Ol'Lady Gripper?!b, 21b, 21I was kicking myself 5 mins later for not getting a picture of her smiling face with the record. b, 21b, 21h, 21

b, 21b, 21Mary Jane is a dope track, But always tend to favor the flip a bit more.I'd say more on the modern blues side than a funk track, but it does get nice though.Either way, nice double sided record I tend to pick all the time.b, 21Oh well, here are both the tracks for you and ya'llb, 21b, 21Side A) Bobby Rush-Mary Janeb, 21b, 21b, 21Side B) Bobby Rush-Chicken Headsb, 21
Keepers from the last week:b, 21b, 21 b, 21b, 21The "Family Favorites" LP is by Wilma Lee and Stoney Cooper, one of my favorite OLD school country acts. The bottom right record is Eddy Current Suppression Ring a new (since 2003) Melbourne band and one of the best new records I've heard in a while.b, 21 b, 21b, 21 b, 21b, 21Top left is Orch. Tentacion, a great New York guaguanco/montuno LP. Top right in Bembeya Jazz LP from '73. Middle right is "Catchy Rhythms from Nigeria (10" on Philips). XIT (on Canyon) is early Lincoln Street Exit songs and is great. Bottom left is the Shwiffs an all female vocal group from some New England college which I kept for the really nice versions of "One Note Samba" and "Girl from Ipanema."b, 21b, 21b, 21 b, 21b, 21These all came from a good friend in Sao Paulo. Obrigado E#son!
NY for four days with my lady. She let me hit a couple of Joints, Johnny had some afro heat at Good Rec's that I simply couldn't walk away from...the Blo, One World and the Bongos and the Groovies are from his tight store-- thanks a mill Mr. Paycheck. Most of the others are from Brooklyn, the Edzayawa's outrageous...it wasn't a dollar find. b, 21b, 21 b, 21
