b,121b,121Even though this is marginally better than the Hillary Duff ad, it's amazing how spectatularly this ad campaign fails. b,121b,121Kala, between your hkunt insults you should consider replacing "gay" with "16 yeard old boy with a cheesy mustache."

This is more than marginally better than the Duff. But it's a bit too Sykes-censored for my taste.

b,121b,121Who cares. It's an expression. I can understand if people said "That's so homo"... but gay has different meaning to me.

b,121b,121Maybe I'm biased because I'm sympathetic with what the campaign is trying to achieve, but I'm not so sure it fails and am curious why you think so. *Any* PSA targeted at teens is going to be met with groans and eye rolls and "that's so gay". But while there is that inevitable outward display of superiority among peers (and on message boards), I think the messages do sink in for at least a small percentage of those same viewers on some level that in the long run actual makes an impact.

"That's so characteristic of negative gay stereotypes."

I remember a year or two ago talking to cas about starting a campaign to take back rainbow flags from the gay community. Because I love rainbows but can't show my support without people thinking I'm gay. Or something like that. I think it seemed funny at the time.b,121b,121b,121Like taking the word "gay" back to just mean happy. I'd love to walk out into the fron office and proclaim "that lunch made me feel super gay!"

b,121b,121Ha! In all seriousness, I thought that this PSA was going to be about use of the word "retarded." I figured Hillary Duff already saved the gays and it was now retarded peoples' turn.

b,121b,121it is pretty brazen of the gay community to claim all refracted light as theirs

I suppose if they did "that is so 16yr old boy with a skirt as a shirt" that would be actually kinda gay.

The girl-with-a-skirt-for-a-top one is the best example: the message is obscure, the punch-line misses the mark, and the writing is campy. I don't know a teen who will think these ads are anything but silly. The campaign is great, the marketing guys are not.
