SF: Soapbox Races @ Dolores Park Sat 10/18

If you have nothing to do on a Saturday afternoon, there will be soapbox racing at Dolores Park (20th St & Dolores)b,121b,121Pits open at 11am to see the cars and teamsb,121Racing starts at 1pmb,121b,121It's Red Bull's event so there is a lot of publicity and will be crowded as hell, but an amusing spectacle nevertheless.     my friends entered the flugtag back when it was in sf...maybe 5 years ago?b,121b,121it didn't go so well:b,121a href="" target="_blank"1 went to the emergency room but was out looking for after parties that same night. b,121b,121oof.

    Yeah, the flugtag event seemed crazy dangerous to me. At least with the soapboxes you can crash into haystacks.

    damn--I was seeing the commercials for this for a bit...b,121b,121working on Saturdays is no fun
