Gas prices at lowering also.b,121b,1213.19 to 3.49 here in Georgia but take a look at your gas bill this year. It's going to be very expensive to heat your home this year.
rightb,121i paid 2.88 a gallon in the hood yesterdayb,121which reinforces my sneaking suspicion that the price spike and shortages in the south were engineered/bogusb,121at one point i saw 4.65 in CT per gallon
b,121Shortages were a shortage of clean burning gasoline because Atlanta/The South has a lack of public transport and drives too much/pollutes too much.

The only conspiracy I believe in is oil prices.b,121b,121We're at $2.99, down from $3.89.b,121b,121I remember some idiot conservatives defending the oil industry (why would anyone ever defend them, BTW?) by saying that the cost of gas prices was due to not having enough refineries or some such nonsense.

The gas price hike was a bubble. Listen to the analyst and they'll tell you that half of the price is set by expectations of what demand will be compared to what they think supply is. They in fact, have no exact number for how much oil is actually produced in the world so it is all guess work, and basically whatever becomes the conventional wisdom amongst traders. That plus the dollar tanked, which also made the price go up. NOw they're dropping because everyone expects the recession to be pretty bad which means demand will drop for goods, and for gas as well.
