Corporate Strut: passing time while world implodes

So I'm sitting on the 43rd floor of a giant office tower overlooking lovely Toronto with virtually nothing to do. I'm working the corporate round at my law firm and there's not much happening on account of plummeting markets, little credit, and who knows what else. Lawyers are taking long lunches, articling students are shooting elastic bands at each other.b,121b,121What are other corporate folks doing during these exciting times? The man blocks too many sites to allow me to rely on the interweb for fun. I'm thinking about starting to deal records again--I've got a desklamp that would be perfect for grading and I'm quite sure no one would mind if I brought a turntable to work. b,121b,121What are other strutters doing to pass office time? I used to work in an office and I had a good time shooting these at various things and people using elastics as a sling shot. Me and a buddy used to place bets and take turns to see who could hit a target first. Made it much more interesting...made a lot of quarters, lost a lot of quarters...

    Oh, and you can always spend the fusking with your coworkers. If you use Macs, tape a piece of white paper over the optical sensor on the bottom of their mouses (mice?). And control+option+apple+8 equals screen inversion. That really messes with folks.

    i like to take a screenshot of the desktop on other people's machines, then remove all icons from their desktop, shrink the taskbar and set the screenshot as their background.

    My company is dead slow right now. For the past week we've gotten almost no calls. I'm welcoming the free time by concentrating on various projects. If worse comes to worse and I'm unemployed I'll be fine. Between my savings, unemployment insurance and working under the table I'll survive. All my debt is sitting on zero interest cards right now and my credit score is rock solid.b,121b,121I welcome the apocalypse, guns blazing!b,121b,121I've lived a pretty frugal lifestyle but I'm a little pissed that I won't be able to purchase a car now. Maybe dealerships will start up with no zero interest loans again.

But I actually am a fan, though, so it's not being disingenuous or anything. I actually mention sandwiches so often in my profile, I'm one of the top hits if you search "sandwiches" on Facebook.
