Okay, so among Halloween Haunt, Fright Fest (six flags), and Horror Nights (Universal), which is your favorite? In my experience, Knotts is usually a good time. Horror Nights I been to once, it didn`t seem as elaborate as Knotts. Never been to Fright Fest.b,121b,121Any other worthwhile and scary events going on during October?

Not really a scarefest, but I love it when Nightmare Before Christmas takes over the Haunted Mansion in Disneyland between Halloween and Christmas.

All of these are dumb, in my humble opinion. Maybe it's because I would have to drive all the way to these overpriced deals or I just don't care for rollercoasters unless it's one of those low budget, in-the-park trailer hitch things where there's an actual risk of dying. Anyhow, I'm tired of seeing the same old large billboard every year..."Tickets to DIE for!!! Knotts SCARY Farm!!!". Tee hee hee...clever!

Void and I were in L.A. last week and I couldn't help but notice how much freaking money Disney seemed to pour into advertising. There were Pumpkin Mickey billboards EVERYWHERE, it was insane. I kinda wished we could have hit a theme park while we were there but whatever there was too much to do. I thought it was strange though that Knotts closed at like 6pm and Magic Mountain didn't have any rides in motion both times we drove by. b,121b,121And DisneyLand at 90 bucks a pop or so is just straight out of line, seriously.

b,121Since 2001, the Mansion has closed each September to give crews time to replace many of the haunted props and Audio-Animatronics with characters and themes from Tim Burton???s ???The Nightmare Before Christmas??? movie. Jack Skellington and his ghoulish friends typically stick around until the end of the year.
