Its overt allusions to this sub-genre (including the theme and An Invitation To Love) are knowing eye-pokes.b,121b,121The BOB/bed scene (and Mrs. Palmer's subsequent exit from the room) were certainly unnerving, but I was actually far more disturbed by b,121b,121b,121*****spoiler*****b,121b,121b,121b,121b,121b,121b,121b,121b,121Leland Palmer killing Maddy. Good god. I could not believe that scene was ever on network television.
