I don't think 2 extra speakers is going to sound any different unless you have a quad stereo and play quad records.

  • Batmon I'm assuming you're looking to eliminate the unwanted side effects of phasing. i.e. where two or more identical waveforms are added together out of phase, which causes unwanted comb filtering?b,121b,121This will not be affected by the records you use, but by the positioning of the speakers relative to each other.b,121b,121If you're looking for records that contain an example of recorded phasing however, I'd recommend michael viner's incredible bongo band, bongo rock, especially the song 'last bongo in belgium'. Shit be phasing all over that track.

Maybe i used the wrong technical description.b,121b,121I'm lookin for thats type of shit that you hear moving around from speaker to speaker.b,121b,121Or like in Just-Ice's joint where there are two conversations going on in two different channels underneath the music. U can isolate both conversations by turning down either channel. This might be diff than what my OG request is.b,121b,121But u know - like cinema type shit.1Wierd shit that moves across the various speakers.

font class="post"1b,121b,121Sly & the Family Stone were really good for that, esp. on their earliest elpees (1967-69). Also the stereo version of the Young Rascals'"Good Lovin'" - the effects here are really random and bizarre...

Dawgs, seriously? I would think that steve Reich would be the first thing in this. The early tape works, most notably Come Out and Piano Phase, andDrumming.1b,121b,121The break from In A Gadda Da Vida.b,121b,121My last album which is free on my blog: granger.wordpress.com (just do a search for max well go freely).b,121b,121And, if you really want to enhance the panning experiment with the distance between the speakers, and the angle you have1them at. Depending on the size, shape, and surface characteristics of your room the 'sweet spot' (where you're actually hearing true stereo) will vary.
