    As far as grown-folks relationship Hip Hop songs go, I ride for Outkast's "Ms. Jackson." It's just so real (and more importantly, HONEST) to me.b,121b,121Actually, I wish this thread was strictly on a real relationship/romance/heartbreak Hip Hop song tip. Not JUST Hip Hop, but Hip Hop flava (wink), which means Aloe and Dwele would count. I only say that because there are millions of R&B songs that cover this topic and we've discussed those plenty times.b,121b,121I'd also have to nominate Freeway's "Goodbye" too. I know it's a heartbreak/breakup song about the block, but it holds very special meaning to me in its' parallels.

    font class="post"1b,121b,121Yeah1i feel ya. I've been meaning to start a grown folks hiphop/r&b thread for a while ever since I discovered that J-Live track. I figured that if a song is someone's private mindgarden classic, then it probably has a higher meaning that something like "ass & titties".1 Well, that's what I'm hoping for at least. b,121b,121I like Ms. Jackson, but it's too played out (or just plain classic?) to be a private mindgarden classic i think.1 A while ago when I was filling in at a club for a friend, I played Ms. Jackson and a group of nitwit Beckies said "1998 called and they want their song back." Good song though... regardless of what they say.
