Made my top 5 DJ performances ever (which, coincidentally, includes Cosmo & Ayres in Phx).b,121b,121I could not understand the 'Strut hatred towards dude musically-speaking. Aoki either. b,121b,121h,121font class="post"1b,121b,121b,121im not mad at either of 'em...b,121but as far as all the hype goes, the one time i saw and heard am here in boston, i was...ummm not really impressed. lots of cutting records off out of nowhere as soon as heads would get into the record he cuts it off repeat x10 and just way tooooo much (sloppy) scratching to say the least. i do know he puts in work, has been doing his thing for a while and every dj including myself has off nights...respect to him...its just that media and cats love to hype shit up. is it me or does he resemble billy bob thorton ?b,121 wasnt keep in time like this...but better b,121b,121aoki...sorry i dont get it. please tell me what he does "musically speaking" for the art of djing ?

font class="post"1b,121b,121I used that term 'cause I was in a rush and couldn't think of a better one, but what I meant was dude mixed well (no trainwrecks) and kept the momentum going without effing up the groove. Granted, I'm not really a big fan of the type of dance music he plays, but I know a clean DJ when I hear one. I just happened to test it the best way possible too...with only my ears. I was in the back of the club most of the night enjoying the music and it wasn't 'til about an hour later that I realized it was him that had been playing the whole time.b,121b,121I bet if most people who hate certain popular DJ's because of their affiliations - or the media circus that surrounds them - would just listen blindly (does that make sense?), then there wouldn't be so much haterism.
