It's like one of those rides at Disneyland - you get transported into this dramatically different space with blasts of water and spinning buffers and whatever else and you don't have to do anything but sit back and experience the trip.b,121b,121By the time my daughter was 2.5 or so, she'd try to tell me, "Daddy, the car is dirty, I think it needs a car wash." I think for some of us, that child's fascination with it never gets old.
Disney ride...exactly. The one I like by my house even coats your car in a tri-colored soap that starts to swirl together and I would imagine would completely freak you out if you were high.b,121b,121Glad I'm not alone in the simple pleasure of life.
Don't know if anyone has these where they live but the Mike's Carwash here in Indianapolis has stuffed toy Muppets and shit that they hang on the dryers and around the not-so-wet portions of the drive-in carwash. When I was a kid I used to love seeing Kermit hanging off the dryer as we went through. Now I just get nostalgic...awww.
b,121b,121Love the drive-through car wash. I remember once when I was a kid, my dad said, "I'm gonna go get the car washed, wanna come?" I was all about it, then we get to the spot, and it's some new joint where you get out of the car and go inside and watch it go through the wash. LAME! I was heartbroken. I believe that was the last time we patronized that place.

b,121b,121i'm told that when i was a youngin i was afraid of the drive through car wash and would hide on the floor in the back seat. b,121b,121i loves em now. and now that its brought up, my truck could use a good wash!

b,121b,121Don't they last like, one minute?b,121b,121How 'bout those scenes in The Seven-Ups where they make going through the car wash all kinds of suspenseful? Never thought of it that way, but it works in the context of that movie.
