Hey,
I mainly play drums (since age 5) and various percussion instruments (e.g., vibes, orchestra bells, tympani, chimes, bongos, conga, timbales, etc.). I also play keyboards as well (and sing).
In the process of learning to play the piano. I can read the notes and such, but I have to get the eye-hand coordination down. I'm also going to start learning how to play the drums by taking a 6 week class offered by my college
if anyone is interested in learning music theory (not talking about reading notes, but understanding melodic harmony etc) in a very informal non intimidating way, this is the best book ever and its free! definitely print it out. talks about chord theory, scales and all, and i guess would be like a first year piano course
