b,121b,121That's something fierce, brah. He probably was telling his shorty who he once thought was all that and a bag of chips to talk to the hand and yadda yadda yadda.

b,121b,121"Dope" has crossed into the general vernacular. "No diggity" has not. b,121b,121h,121
b,121b,121b,121Dope has reached timeless status. It transcends decades and whatnot.b,121b,121I thought "hella" had done the same, albeit in a more regional manner. Perhaps not. b,121b,121No diggity was always bogus to me, except for the song, which I still turn up when it comes on the radio.

b,121b,121b,121Regardless of whether or not you like it, there aren't lots of cats around you saying "dope" all the time? b,121b,121I must have an entirely different local slang experience.

b,121b,121LOL at the idea that "hella" is mid/late-90s slang. b,121b,121h,121
b,121b,121The first time I heard "hella" was in Metallica interviews circa 1986/1987, around Master Of Puppets[/b] and after the death of Cliff Burton. It was also the first time I heard the phrase "hawk a loogie" (I still say "galagala").

b,121b,121Chicago. Five minutes from downtown. b,121b,121h,121b,121b,121Hey that's your interpretation. I just said no one my hood(NYC) where in started discarded it decades ago.b,121b,121feel free to use it.
I remember at some point in the nineties, during one of that decade's many "Year Of The Woman"ses, someone somewhere thought it would be a good idea to have Blackstreet present the award for Best Female Performance at the Grammys, which, that year, were all Lilith-Faired-up. And in turn, Chauncey n'nem thought it would be a good idea to announce the nominees in song. So it was all "I like the way you work it--Paula Cole!--I got to bag it up (bag it up)...I like the way you work it--Jewel!--I got to bag it up (bag it up)..." The camera cut to each nominee as her name was called, and we had to watch the ladies squirm as they smiled thorugh gritted teeth and pretended that here, in their shining moment, their Year, they were okay (or, you know, "cool") with getting "bagged up" by one or more members of Blackstreet. It was hella awkward.
the first words outta babies mouths when born in the bay area is Hella. that is timeless and those that think its over is living in a different zone.b,121b,121audi 5000 g!
