Congratulations on that one man. I'm really feeling your mix alot more than 9th's ... Are you or they releasing this on 12'? If so I'd definitely order 2 copies.
"Continuing the Mizell-meets-JDilla-meets-Marvin sunshine soul flavours of his recent "Got To Get It Right" EP, California's one man b-boy funk band DJ Day takes on "Honey", one of the too-many-to-mention standout tracks from Erykah Badu's amazing "Part One (4th World War)" album. Here he gives the track a deep bump'n'hustle boogie soul touch giving the track a whole extra dimension. Also includes an instrumental on the flip."
now, where's that "Nice One!" greamlin when you need it?
yes, great remix. Her vocals fit really well, like an actual production.
Day's "remixes" go above and beyond the standard "swap the beat from under their feet" moves. He takes it to the next level and makes whole new compositions with smart arrangement.

Booyeah!!!!
The quality of his music is well-established. The real question is, can he describe his work in rhyming couplets?
Thanks everyone. It's funny because I wasn't really into it at first, but it's grown on me. Go figure. I'm glad you guys are digging it. Hopefully there will be more distribution here in the states. I think there's gonna be one small run of the 7" and when they're gone they're gone.

Oh, so this is out now? I'll definitely be copping, then - really good work. That Little Beaver jam is an 80s London rare-groove/two-step classic, so I can definitely see this mix getting a bit of club action at those spots over here where soul is still on the menu.
