Calling all geeks: Wireless internet help, plaese!

OK, so I just installed an airport card into my G3 Imac. I need it to talk to some sort of Linksys router. Anyhow, it works, but only when I put my computer right next to it. If I walk 100 ft. to my room, I get nothing. Seems like the signal is too weak, right? What is a good device to boost the signal of the router? Could it be something else? the router is working fine on a PC approx the same distance away...

HELP!!!!

    99% chance you forgot to plug the antenna into the card.

    It's like a super small cable like cable coaxial.

    If you JUST plugged in the card, you didn't plug in the antenna.

    There's a spot for it on the end of the card, I think on the end of the card (from where you plug it in the slot).
