Ok, for real...I started trying to build a "all-time top-shelf classic" kit for the very-limited sample time in my Machinedrum UW. There are 2 megs of space, so that doesn't leave a lot of room for hits. FYI the MD architecture is 12-bit, so I guess we could make this the "what classic drum sound best in an SP thread"? ps: fuck a take this to the breaks icon, I'm talking obvious shit here. What drum sounds are so recognizable that they instantly make people trip?Impeach the President. Skullsnaps.Apache.Headhunters.the best sounds only. phil: I'm looking in your direction. +

Holy shit I'm replying this thread.
4 oclock CST hour always sucks around here.
You're talking about hits not breaks, right?
another classic break that has somehow eluded my finger tips, feel ive seen or flipped through my share of anne murray lps over the years ... sooo what is the title of that pyhith album again??
I mean, I have a lot of this shit, just trying to get a general overview of "if you could only rock 30 hits what would they be" from dudes that know.
everything listed here is pretty much on par with what I am thinking as far as the hits go. absolute classics that despite how "played" they are still knock and are undeniably dope.
