The track "B'deet" from 1971 has some nice moments, for me.

I think they are all great. I like stage bands, so that's required.

The John Monaghan one is nice with lots of bass cool bass lines.

Live has a Psych version of Okie From Muskogee

Lab '75 is Lyle Mays best record, lots of Rhoades and clavinet.

Lab! has a psych rock cut.

The Jazz guitar record is real good if you like jazz guitar.

And of course there are all those monks.

I've been holding on to a copy of Lab71. I just listened through it for the first time in a while...and now I'm not sure why I've been holding on to it.

i found nearly all of them at a thrift store once, but i only bought two randomly. one of them had that song from schoolhouse funk, and the others were ok. basically i dont think ANY of them are crucial by any means, but they are decent.

I have the one with the "12 Monks" or whatever, that track's crazy but has limited appeal.
There was one with a lizard coming out a horn, that had it moments.
I have a blue 'LAB!' in my sale bin and I don't remember what it's like.

  • stan kenton shelled out the loot to fund them. there decent, nothing spectacular.

  • 12 by 12 is the best one. 2x Lp with funky and strange electronic moments.
