These are from the last couple weeks of squirreling away my finds. Thanks to SoulonIce for posting the Dennis Brown a while back. Just arrived in the mail today....I'm lovin it. Finally, got the Marcia Griffiths as well. Spent years on my Ebay watch list. Leroy Vinnegar was a lucky find. Pretty unique record. Iron Butterfly, I was listening to the last track, and noticed Nas raps over it on "Thief's Theme".(Do I get the-breaks bonus points?)I guess these Dells records are relatively hard to find in Cali. Both are really dope. The interludes are awesome, "sweeeeeeetest funk".The Independent Movement "slippin' away" is such a dope track. I guess it would be funky soul/boogie.

Everyday music? Did you cream your shorts within seconds of seeing it? Lol.... Is it as good as it's hype?
Yup to all three!
It was very surprised to see a heavy one like this just chillin' in the new arrivals bin,
as you well know D, Seattle has been played out for soul/funk stuff for years.
Other than indie rock records, it's dryer than dry out there most of the time.
It's pretty solid all the way through, it's what you hope every gospel lp from the 70's could be, instead
of the tepid acapella spirituals they normally are.
I'd keep it except my need for reggae is strong and my pockets are flat.
It's on that one evil auction site as we speak.
huh? He was talking about his own finds being from the last 3 weeks.
Does anyone know the Steve Davis LP? Its on RCA and I'd never heard before but it smokes!
I think it's funny when people post up records that they
have already listed on eBay. Not that I wouldn't do the same
if I found some big $$$ record in the field, but it basically
ends up being the same as "look I found $500 in the street" ...
I just find it more interesting when people's finds are music
that they are excited about finding to keep and listen to.
Also, you better hope the people that run that store don't see
this thread - I would have to assume they wouldn't be thrilled
to see you bragging about gripping and flipping their new arrivals ...
well know among diggers due to gangstarr sampling and laluneblanche
nice ass finds!!! odell brown has been elusive for me
and that sso is tough to track down too
High-C: Nice work on the J.K.& Co. Another one of my favorites.
I hate when that happens.

John Holt's You Will Never Find Another Love Like Mine on Justice.
Oh his voice! Oh the version! Oh, how there's a dark edge to the song that I love.
those are the 2 reasons why I own it. But samples aside, La Lune Blanche is just a beautiful cut.
I don't know much about it but its a great jazz rock LP from 1970. On RCA. Cool mix of styles. Some psych tracks, some funk. Lotsa sample material. Nobody I recognized playing on it.
Yep. I regret getting rid of it when times were hard pon di boulevard.
now I feel guilty
just two finds this weekend:

$500 total.
Is this LP "soulful?" or is it more of a pop vocal
record? I remember holding one in my hands at FMU and
thinking it didn't look worth the $$$, as if she were
trying to make a Nancy Wilson LP or somesuch ...
you hit it right on the head. It is very jazz vocal as opposed to her Arctic titles.
Still its an album I kept a copy of for myself, mostly cause I love her voice and it works well in that genre.
This record is great! It came through the shop a couple months back.
Does the Honda run? It looks stunt-driven.
I never realized how much those bikes are copied for the motocross bicycle version.
they're both hondas. the express needs work, but it was $50
the CL70, which i'm assuming youre referring to, starts right on the first kick and runs beautifully. the only thing wrong with it is the lights dont work.
It seems highly doubtful that someone who frequents soulstrut on the regular would let go out of that record on the cheap.
The store in question is basically a cd store run by a bunch of
hipsters and they know little to nothing about vinyl and they mostly get
Firestone Christmas records and Streisand.
So I'm not too worried about it.
And I wasn't really bragging, D asked where I got it and I told him.
What about all the dudes with shops?
They post up their finds, and I'm sure most of those are being resold too.
I'll post up the stuff I buy with the profits.
And try to follow the "finds code of conduct" in the future.
Damn maybe I need to walk my lazy ass two blocks and check the new arrivals over there. lol. I did catch a ton of dope jheri curl stuff when they opened.
