    What of Sam Bowie?

  • Well, allright. Hey I was diggin' on y'alls funk for awhile.
Sounds like it got a three on it though, to me.
Then I was down south and I heard some funk with some main ingredients
Like Doobie Brothers, Blue Magic, David Bowie[/b] .
    It was cool,
But can you imagine Doobiein' your funk? Ho!

well, it's a made-up word. like a cross bewteen pfft and fluff.

used to describe rom-coms, the worst in shoe-gazer bands and most of the men's haircuts on Coronation Street.

We are talking some serious private mind garden vocabulary here.

  • Haha, how is it pronounced? if it's with a silent p, then the word "faff" is already used by quite a few people...

In the UK it's a general insult, at it's most extreme it means paedophile...

I don't hear anyone here using it! Yea, faff - am I using it correctly or have I just twisted it for my own use?

  • nonce
    ???noun
the present, or immediate, occasion or purpose (usually used in the phrase for the nonce).
(Origin: 1150???1200; ME nones, in phrase for the nones, by faulty division of for then ones for the once (ME then dat. sing. of the1; ones once))

Thanks, I only knew it in the above sense. I am clearly from UK slang.

  • Over here (England) it means to waste time, so if a bunch of people were getting ready to go out but one was messing around choosing which shoes to wear etc... someone might say "stop faffing around".

lol - and back into the mind garden it goes

  • with you on number two

but how did a bang on his head as a child make one eye change colour?
How the fkkk does that work?!!?

Like if I get a kick in the balls one of 'em could turn green?

Years ago, I read that he got into a fight in high school in which his eye was severely injured. As a result of said injury, it changed from blue to brown.

Too lazy to google it, but I'm sure you could something.

Its hard to imagine David Bowie in a fight. I envision a lot of slapping and hair pulling.

I got hit in the eye by a rock when I was a kid and my pupil was the size of a pinhole for 6 months but, sadly, no change of colour.

the rock in the eye, I mean

I would go for one garish yellow eye, one sky blue

I'm thinking Brazil kit yellow, Coventry blue
it's a samba and ska look
