not recently.. My digging skills are weakened by the forces of fatherhood and work.
THe last time I was 'out in the field' was at least two months ago (record friend).
You can maybe add Concerto, that's not a bad store..
but is is stripped. That store has NO records. the staff swipe them all (and fair game, thats what working in a record store is all about), every now and then you MIGHT find a record but yeah, like i said, these are personal favs, and concerto aint on that list.
I guess that's true.. There was a time I got advanced warning if a nice batch had arrived. But that time is long gone.
I now mostly go there for current releases and ,dare I say it, CD's.

in fact you guys are really really lucky to be living there
the last time i really came up in holland was when I rented a car for a few days and tore ass all over the netherlands.
its such a small country that you can be anywhere in 4-5 hours
i found crazy shit-especially in small non tourist towns in the middle of nowhere/eindhoven/belgum border.
I also racked up a camera speeding ticket that i got away with never paying
they tried stopping me at the airport 3 years later while on my way out
but the time limit was up and i lied- "family emergency" and they let me get on the plane without paying it
I love Holland.
I updated the map with two stores on Harlemmerdijk.
Eveything is cool man - just saving for my next trip which will be to Frankfurt, Germany in March. I may be up for Amsterdam one more time but nothing confirmed yet. I'll keep you posted

dude had a hundred different irish whiskeys..I wasnt complainin', seemed to be the only bar without god awful euro techno/house playin'...
i was suprissed by the amount of records they still have.

but al met al is it still a shitty store.
