David Axelrod - Seriously Deep

Songs of Innocence has been on my want list for a long time, and I am not even close to listening to his vast catalog as a producer/composer, but I am giving Seriously Deep a first listen, and the shit is pretty awesome. When the orchestration falls out, and the bongos, drum, and bass are rocking, it is kind of sick.I also bought "The Price you pay to be free", which I need to listen. What other Axelrod-related LPs are worth a listen/purchase? (besides the obvious ones, like Electric prunes-release, songs of innocence) Any of the David McCallum or Funk Inc. releases any good? Sorry if funky still kinda excites me. Haters need not reply.

soulstrut much?
on the contrary: these are the kind of thread I like better....
however, this is also not bad:
Most of the Adderly LPs with him are all pretty good to me...if you haven't already got most of them ?
- Tensity
- The Price Ya Got To Pay To Be Free
- Soul Zodiac
im forgetting heaps but i'm sure you know em.
Tensity is a good one, but the rest of the tracks on that LP are snoozers so I sold it. Price you got to pay seems promising. I listened to Soul Zodiac but I passed on it.
but Mucho Chupa and Family are good tracks!
is that any good?
Mucho Chupa is THE TRACK to listen to....
(BTW probably I can arrange some days in Hong Kong during next couple of months.... I'll let you know )
its got some cool stuff on it. worth picking up.
best for me:
Seriously Deep ...seriously dope
Release of an Oath (affordable and probably the best)
the Auction (his decca stuff had a slightly differetn flavor)
Innocence and Experience (no brainers)
strange ladies (dont sleep on the late year...shit is hot)
a lot of the projects he wa involved in are usually only good for a couple cuts.
